I need a new or good condition magneto sprocket for my 1927 Flying Squirrel.
Last year I bought a PM1R BTH Magneto from Rexton for my bike. It works great!
The shaft was a little bigger than my original so I hand reamed my sprocket to fit the taper. Needless to say, I have a little wobble. I measured the shaft as .525″ at the big end, .425″ at the small end and .5″ in length.
Anyone know the specs of the stock sprocket? I believe it to be a 20tooth with a 1/2″ pitch, but I’m not sure of the width. Rexton may be able to source a sprocket for me, if given the correct specs.
Thanks for any help locating a proper sproket.

I’m sure the Club Spares Scheme have these in stock. I had asked Gill about the drive sprocket and I’m sure she said the Club only had the magneto ones in stock. She has the spares in Excel format and can be e-mailed to members of the scheme.

Thanks, but I have allready checked with the spares scheme and they are out. I have an order there that is about to be shipped, so if someone found something, it could be included in the shipment. If not, I will see if the Rexton people can make me something.

If you have not yet given someone an order, I may have one, as I convert my mag drives to belt instead of chain.
I do not want to go rummaging all through my boxes if you already have found one or given an order, so let me know how things are and if you are still in need, I will have a ferret through. I would put the likelihood at 90%

Jan,
All I did was email Gill at gill@myddfai.com and he sent the spares list back to me as an excel file. There is a link to his email on the Sources of Supply page.
