still looking for girder forks & thank the stafford staf

firstly I am still looking for girder forks for my dads 39 flyer if anyone has a set or knows of the wherabouts of a set I would greatly appreciate it ?
secondly I would like to publically thank the scott owners club members who manned the stand at stafford as they went out of their way to help me in the search for girder forks for this bike, I am not good with names but I never forget faces & would like to personally thank them for treking with me into other halls to check if a set of Velocette forks would be suitable for my application & for giving me a photograph of a similar bike to help with my search. they were extremely helpful & I must admit I was a little dissappointed in the small display of bikes but the restoration quality of the bikes on display was superb, I just wish stafford was closer & I would gladly display our collection of scotts.

I expect you already know, but your bike should have Webb heavyweight forks. Norton made something Very similar (the ones without the chech springs either side. It may be easier to find a set of these. Teh brake anchor is on the other side and the steering head has to be elongated, both simple/cheap jobs.

chris do you know which norton model they were fitted to ? I would have no problem modifying them but its just trying to find out what I am looking for ? the velocette forks I looked at at the show were very light in comparison & the guy on the stand said it was another velocette model which was similar but the ones he had were too light construction for a scott & advised me not to buy.
