Hi Steve. I might be interested in a swop with your frame if the conversion to swinging arm is well executed as I have been thinking of building such a bike up to cope with my bad back problems which play up after a short time on rigid framed bikes. I have a 1936 and a 1937 frame which you could take your pick of. My address and phone number are inside front cover of Yowl. Regards and best wishes. Brian Marshall.
Thanks for your reply I am interested in your proposal and would look forward to you casting your eye over the conversion. Only major concern to me on reflection is whether or not I could obtain mag/dyno and platform do you have any comments on this?
Hi Steve. Phone me on 01949 851027 to arrange to see my frames or for me to visit to see your swinging arm conversion. I can supply a mag platform to suit the frame but I don’t have a magdyno at the moment. Lucas made a special one for Scott with the dynamo geared down to cope with the engine speed rotation as opposed to the the half engine speed rotation of four stroke mags.. so you need to look for one via a wanted ad in Yowl. they are easy to recognize as the end casing is rectangular as opposed to the triangular end on a normal one. Cheers, Brian.
