Hello!

My 1927 FS is currently fitted with a siamese exhaust. Allthough this looks (and sounds…) nice I’m thinking of making a coffeepot exhaust that is the right one for 1927. I already have the two alloy endcaps.

Does anybody have the exact dimensions of this exhaust so I can have a go at reproducing it? And perhaps some pictures? I understood this coffeepot is totally empty inside?

Of course the bike will then have to be fitted with a Howarth (style) muffler. Are those still available?

Hi, The 1927 Flying Squirrel had TWO exhaust pipes, one on each side, and the coffeepot was empty, giving a noisy but fruity genuine Yowl. The factory offered auxiliary silencers but these were not full size Howarth but a shorter version just for this application. Our Registrar John Underhill has a drawing available for you to make a system, and Tim Sharp can supply Howarth silencers that can be shortened to the cut down version. Regards. Brian

Hmmm, and I always thought that Scotts always had just one exhaust!
