i thought the 39 model should have rear plungers i might be wrong but the pics ive got show them
The rear “plungers” on the Clubman Special were an optional extra at a cost of 15 pounds (there’s no pound sign on this NZ computer). The Clubman should have cylinder wall oiling via a Pilgrim pump on the left hand crankcase door, a triangular oil tank on the rh side between the middle and upper rear frame tubes for chain oiling, two leather fronted tool boxes, a 4 1/2 gallon petrol tank, 1 1/8th Amal type 29 carb with twin float chambers, TT transfer port covers and a spring-up rear stand. The internals were specially finished to increase performance (tested by MotorCycling at 91.8 mph) and had 3 ring pistons. The prototype model also had 21″ front and 20″ rear wheels.

Now that makes me laugh.Surely if he wanted it to go to a scott enthusiast rather than a dealer he would of contacted the scott club first. 🙄
This bike is on the Machine Register. If anyone is seriously interested in it I suggest they contact me. email address in Yowl.
Yes i would second that.I dearly wish i had the funds to buy it now.Sadly its destined to be spirited away and probably not seen by us again…. 🙁
or a dealer will buy it and it will be for sale again in a months time, we shall watch and see!
I see it has the cyl wall oiling barrel but no pump or pipework, so the holes are just plugged up. Given the fact that no extra lever is present I wonder if the oil pump is still there?
Cheers,
Rich
