In Sweden there are a lot of English motorcycle but we have only 2-5 Scott in our country. In my situation it is difficult to get technical information.

There are three illustrated books by my friend John Underhill now dead that are available from the VMCC for about £30
If you do not have these I suggest you get them
If this is difficult for you, I would get and send if you wish, but with some small extra to cover my time and extra postage
A similar bike is pictured in one of these three books “The Scott Scene” No 1 – 3 with engine number 3513 dated 1919 so your engine is perhaps 1917 or 1918 but as this engine was not changed for several years, it could be earlier as I do not know what the production quantities were during the 1914 / 1918 war
The exact information is available as the Scott factory despatch records were bought by the VMCC and can be consulted
The pictures are from a similar machine but the cylinder barrel has an aluminium water jacket that was used from about 1924
I will ask friends to find who might know more about this model to know tyre size
I rebuild and manufacture replica engines. Most of my work is for newer machines.
I must make almost all engine spares, but if you need components, an advert in the Scott Owners Club magazine “Yowl” can often help
Ken Lack in Sheffield is expert on two speed gear
