Hello,
I recently purchased a restored 1963 Scott. It came with a Smith tachometer installed on the top of the forks. Was this an original factory feature?
They only came with a speedometer fitted in the headlamp shell in that year. Tachometer or rev counter was never a standard fitment.
I live in USA and recently purchased the bike from the Mecum Auction.

That has been added along with e the side or indicator lights.
