There is always some time between sending an add to Eddie and the actual publishing date in Yowl. So parts could well be sold/swapped before receiving Yowl.

I absolutely agree. As a recent new SOC member you will have seen my advert wanting some engine bits. I found that everything I enquired about from Yowl adverts was sold many weeks prior. Of course this is no refelction on Yowl or Eddie, just simply people are selling stuff on the web and as the SOC offers little opportunity for members to sell to members in a timely fashion (like this website or an email share list) the SOC members lose out.

The other side is my wanted ad only yielded two calls, and one of them was a member looking for parts, so there is a huge reluctance to sell parts for cash, which is causing a problem for new Scott members who cannot keep their machines on the road. Like me…..

Not meaning to step on anyone’s toes here, but an alternative to this could be a private weekly/bi-weekly email for sale/wanted email list managed and distributed by a member who acts as a central co-ordinator. I’d be willing to run this service but obviously it needs more discussion.
