Hi Lewis,
I don’t know the answer to your question but you can use radius gauges to get an idea of the correct size.
Also if you have a few other loose balls you can use engineers blue in the race and roll different sized balls around the track – the correct ball is the one that gets an even coating of blue rather than one (ball too small) or two (ball too big) thin tracks.
