I did quite a bit of work on this during the mid summer months.
I got a qote from a local graphics studio ofr £850 for scanning and producing a batch of 10 CDs.
There is money in the club coffers to pay for this – I understand – but with only a minor % of current members using a PC the cost is the stumbling block for the club.
My conjecture is that as younger members join the SOC we do need a CD version.
I also offered to have phtocopies made locally @ £40 each for the full technicalities.
I think that a member of the Management Cttee needs to champion this issue and drive it forward – I felt that my efforts were in vain!!!!
