Prices for unrestored bikes will depend on the condition. If the bike hasn’t been in active use for 30 years, there will be a lot of things needing attention. The carburettor needle shouldn’t be too difficult to find, there are several suppliers of parts for AMAL crburettors. If you look i the “Old Bike Mart”, you will find several. Two good suppliers are Surrey Cycles, Surrey House, Elmbridge Road, Cranleigh, Surrey, GU6 8NW, Tel: 01483 27223288, and Burlen Fuel Systems Ltd, Dept OB, Castle Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP1 3SA, Tel: 01722 412500, fax: 01722 334221, e-mail: info@burlen.co.uk – web: http://www.burlen.co.uk
Your bike may be a 500cc (DPZ) or 600cc (DPY). You have not given any identification yet. I would advise you to take some good digital photos of the bike -both sides + from the rear and from the front. It is difficult to give any idea about a price without photos.
