@ Eric: I had a look but the one in the First Scott Selection was not the one I was talking about. I remember the picture as coarse and the engine on a Morgan. So the pic from Yowl definitly is the one.
@ Brian: now you mention the “yards of chain” I also kind of remember seeing a drawing of this chain and chainwheels in this engine.
