My understanding is that unless you have been running mostly on full throttle you should look first at the needle position or the slide cutaway.

If I was in your position I would raise the needle a notch to richen the midrange – if it spits back when you blip the throttle you might need a smaller cutaway on the slide.

It really ought to run rich with the choke closed, if it doesn’t there might be an air leak somewhere, also exhaust system length is important, if it’s too short it might weaken the mixture…lots to mull over!
