Roger hi. don`t know if this suggestion is possible or practical, in the building and DIY market nowadays there seems to be a lot of tools with built in lasers, in fact I saw a steel tape measure the other day with built in laser, I`m sure this narrow beam of light could be shon accross both sprockets and show up any missalignment.
