Remove the chrome kickstart return spring cover.
Carefully remove return spring by holding the top part with a pair of pliers and withdraw it from it’s anchor pin, and allow it to unwind. It can then be taken off the centre pin.
Remove the brass/bronze kickstart retaining cap. This has a LEFT-HAND thread.
Remove the kickstart return stop.
Rotate the kickstart lever clockwise to dis-engage the pawl and withdraw the kickstart.
