Hello, over the years I have seen lots of Scott engines with what appears to be a small plate on the crankcase that carries the engine number. Was this something that originated from the factory or an practise that owners have used after a crankcase has been changed to maintain the engine number that came with the ‘bike? The crankcase on the Flyer for sale on Ebay at the moment shows of what I mean. Jeff Reed.
