Do be careful with that 1/2″ diameter thread inside the fork stem. Usually it is 26TPI Cycle Thread, but I have come across a couple with a ‘bastard’ thread, namely 24TPI, and I had to buy an appropriate die to make a bolt that would fit. No idea why !
