My Brum is 1957 and has Lucas electrics and thus has the speedo separate from the headlight, not inset, and therefore would have the trip reset on the side although it would be possible to use one with bottom mount reset cable.
And for Brian, I don’t think I/L stand for internal light as I have an 85 mph speedo with the number S433/9/N which is fitted with an internal light!
Does anyone know what all these numbers and suffixes mean? Mine also has the number 1600 above the S433/9/N which I believe is the number of cable rotations per mile.
