Regarding rad water, I wonder how many Scotts were filled up from the kitchen tap, roadside puddles, wee, or even pub glass beer slops back in the dim and distant past?
To be fair, if you live in a soft water area (like us) then there is pretty much nothing of concern to using tap water. We never have to descale our kettle so the Scott rad and engine would also not suffer. Road side puddles should also be OK unless the water has leached rubbish from the tarmac (rain water is after all effectively distilled). I not sure wee or beer slops would be so good though 😛
