My Flyer which is registered 1949 has engine No. DPY 5179 and gearbox No. 4297 CM. I had beleived it was one the last ones to come out of the Shipley works, But as my engine number is 251 engines before the start of the batch you mention perhaps there were a lot more produced after mine.
Does anyone know approx how many they made in that last year at Shipley ?
