Try veloset.co.uk and view their model 600 GPS cycle computer. It is dear at £59.95 but is easily transferable from one machine to another, does not need wiring, does not suffer from electromagnetic interferance, and has more features than you can shake a sick at. One of which is lat/long so when you or someone else chucks it down the road in the middle of nowhere the location is easily identifiable.
