As Club Registrar I would deplore the possibility of the Registration Number being sold. It is mentioned in the advert that the original number is transferable. There are too many Scotts that have lost their original reg nos and it is the one main way of retaining a bike’s identity and hence history over the decades. It also downgrades the value of the bike. There is a good reason why bikes and cars that retain their registration numbers and history from new are more sought after than one which have lost them.
