Another point to look out for is to make sure that the spring loaded indent ball bearing is of 9/32″ diameter and NOT 1/4″, as this can have a major effect on gear selection due to the ball sitting too deeply into the indents, and causing “lost” movement in the mechanism, with the ball not quite reaching the next indent, which in turn can cause jumping out of gear and missed gear changes.
