Frank was at Belle Vue, Audenshaw, Manchester 1929 to 1945. He returned to Belle Vue in 1974, where his activities faded away until his death in 1988. I can’t remember the year when the speedway track was demolished, but one of my wife’s sisters lives just a quarter of a mile away, and we used to stay there when the first Classic Bike Shows were held there, and organised by Alan Whitehead, in the early to mid 1980s, before the move to the Staffordshire County Showground.
