I’d like to echo the advice about joining the club before buying a bike. I’d had that advice and still ignored it! So, I ended up buying the first bike that fell within my budget and paid royally for the privelege 🙄 I now have a rideable, reasonably presentable bike that has taken me a lot of work, money and help from knowledgeable friends and this clubs very own spares scheme to acheive. It probably stands me at twice the current value. I won’t ever buy a bike that way again, but I also really enjoy my Scott-bitsa that it is-and can see myself becoming a long term Scott rider now.
So alls well that ends well-best get saving fast as they aren’t getting any cheaper.
One day I’ll get to a local section meeting (East Midlands) but I still have to work on Sundays to pay for my bikes!
