It’s really good to hear from people like yourself with a fresh ineterest in Scotts. You are probably right when you say that Scotts are rare and, much as with any brand, unwary uninformed buyers can often be “sold a pup”. A good way to find a bike is through the Club and anyone here would be prepared to give an opinion on any potential purchase(!) Details of most Scotts can be checked through the Archive mainatained by Ian Parsons. I note that you are in Sheffield so perhaps a good introduction to the world of Scotts would be a visit to the Sheffield & District Scott Club which meets the first Tuesday of each month at the Dog & Partridge, Sheffiled end of the Woodhead pass at 9.00pm – ask for Martin Hodkin.
