You just need a couple of right-angle brackets, easily made from 5/8″ x 1/8″ mild steel strip, drilled 3/8″ for the top bolts on the kite members to go through. They then stick out a couple of inches to the right-angled bit, and those ends are drilled either 3/16″ or 1/4″ to take the oval plate. The bottom bracket is a little trickier, bolting to the mudguard fixing lug, then upwards at an angle to meet the rear of the oval plate.
