To paraphrase the old saying, a good mag = bliss, but a poor mag is just bl**dy purgatory. Unless there’s documented evidence of a recent pro mag rebuild, I always factor in the costs of a mag rebuild in the same way as new tyres tubes and brake shoes are factored in.
For a hundred quid or so, I have peace of mind to know it’ll still be going long after me…
