When you take the mag end cover off you should see a brass strip with a small carbon pad in the centre which makes contact with a screw that holds the contact assembly in place. When this screw is earthed, the mag stops generating. If you connect a wire from the end cap to a horn button, the mag will be earthed via the horn button and handlebars whenever the button is pressed thus stopping the engine.
