many thanks for your reply . I am not intending to fit a lighting set to my Scott I thought perhaps driving a geni from the clutch might help the gent that has a clatter from his crank driven pancake I suggested a v belt as some of the small alternators have mighty magnetic pull I would think a v belt would be the smoother option .( providing a contact was not involved ) The ancient Drummond is presently involved in the manufacture of a pair of drippers for my long framed flyer that should cause a multitude of mirth from the non believers .Regards and all the best to you and yours D F .
