Who me !? A lot of veteran and vintage Scott owners do not realise that the factory didn’t use any hose clips until the mid-to-late 1920s ! Instead they used turns of copper wire, twisted tight with pliers. Then, before the Jubilee hose clip was invented they used Enots clips, tightened with a nut and bolt. I presume it is this type of clip that you obtained from the Spares Scheme ? I can get them from the Austin Seven spares people. It can be VERY difficult to get them into position onto the bottom hose spigot on blind-head engines, and if you have that problem resort to three or four turns of copper wire instead of a clip.
