“The John Lumley Affair” as described by Prosper Keating in his various blogs, must be taken with more than one pinch of salt. I will recommend studying the comments by the Vincent Owners Club https://www.voc.uk.com/jlumley.php – I was a delegate at the meeting of the Executive General Committee meeting of the VOC when this affair was thoroughly discussed and mr. Keating and another VOC member were expelled as a result of their insinuations against VOC officials.
I fully agree with you that our interests in old motorcycles, should not be about how much are they worth, but more about the joy of riding and working on.
