I’ll be interested to see what answers you get David, because as recently discussed on this website, many years ago I bought an unused and boxed Scott/Amal brass-bodied, three-stud fixing carb, complete with twistgrip, air lever, and cables, from a Stafford auction. I still have it, unused, and from recent prices I think it has been much better than money in the bank, although I hasten to add that I didn’t buy it as an ‘investment’ ! There is currently a scruffy Three-Jet Scott-Binks on eBay for £296, but it has been relisted a few times.
