Hi,
There is also an interesting “period” photo of an early TT Replica with a very unusual chain oiler tank under the saddle. It is the usual trapezoidal shape fitted to early Reps and 1928 works racers, but has a curved recess on the underside, presumably to give enough clearance for a magdyno. I have only ever seen one such tank, and assumed that it had been modified by the owner, but now it looks as if the factory made them like that ! After more than 40 years of being interested in Scotts I still keep finding out more things every week. No wonder they are so fascinating and beguiling….
