You have not been reading and inwardly digesting your Yowls. Nick Sloan has been running a series of “Among my souvenirs” and in the June 2007 issue of Yowl his article shows an early radiator hose and the story behind it. However he did not know when hose clips were introduced. Hope this goes some way to satisfying your curiosity.
