Probably going to regret this… too many bikes, too little space, not enough time… so offering my bike for sale. This bike was built by Ian Parsons from 1982 onwards. New radiator from Jack Butterworth. This is a fast, agile bike… on a recent Sussex Motorcycle Club run it just about kept up with a couple of late sixties triumphs through the twisties… This bike I believe has recorded a terminal speed of about 88.5mph at VSCC Colerne 1982. I don’t think I have gone over 70mph … but then again I haven’t been squinting at the tiny battery powered speedo when riding at speed!. Foibles: clutch plates could probably do with a clean… very slight slippage ‘when giving it some beans’… and a tendancy to gather oil/fuel in the sump after a long run (requiring a plug clean and sump drain). Hopefully I can load some old pics I found on the net, done by a pro’ photographer (I hope I am allowed to show these … my bike so I hope I’m not going to prison for copyright infringement). Since these pics were taken the bulb horn is deceased and I have added a good quality and discreet rear parcel rack on mudgard). NB. The pics were taken whilst it was being serviced at a garage for the previous owner, hence disconnected chains etc. Price: sub £10k till about 1 June to club members… then after I get back from holiday I will probably put it on ‘fleabay’ for £10k plus. Please contact me if interested through here or phone 01273 708390 or text my mob 07973 285497 (now where did I put it?). Email: portlandstreet@ntlworld.com. I welcome any comment on price… (too high? too low?). I do have history supplied by Ian to a previous owner, so please enquire if interested. The bike lives in a warm garage in Brighton. Ian … if you see this please comment if you wish? I may also put some pics on the gallery page… 😥 🙄
