Herewith text, but if anybody is interested, then I have a couple of pics.
I have seen other restorations by Robin and they are magnificent
No compromises here, but, of course, not cheap either.
g’day Roger,,
I have a rather problematic event to consider and that is he sale of my 1929 Flying Squirrel, which I have just completed assenbly thereof. The motor was bult by Dick Firkins. Some parts were obtained from Ken Lack and those others I obtained from Graham in the Scott Owners spares.
The reason for sale is I cant ride her as I have Parkinson’s in an semi-advanced status and after DBS (Deep Brain Stimullation) surgery it would be unwise of me to try and ride the bike. Alas I dont have the power to kick start her.
I have overspent on this bike,(about 32k+), but it is offered for sale with a complete side car (not fitted) AUD$27,000. I also have a whole lot of spare parts left over from the original bike (lik r/h exhaust system complete, Engine splash covers) as I decide to make the bike complete and back to originality. Chain cover needs to be painted and seat covers fitted and the rear mudguard needs to be refitted and painted. There is also a gas generator that is complete which needs fitting to the bike.
If anyone want to chat to me about this beautiful bike then they can reach me in Sydney, during office hours, at +612 9313 6834 or fax +612 9313 6835 or ampersandd @iinet.net.au.
Kind regards,
Robin Eliovson
