I,m researching fitting a wide line petrol tank to my 1929 flyer. My question is , are the later wider tanks the same dimensions as the 1929/30 tank thanks
The distance between the two mounting points seems to vary even on the same model. When I’m next down in the garage, I will measure mine.
Just checked my tank and it’s 23 1/4” between centres.
Ok I’ll measure my slimline, do you know if the shape of the earlier wideline/ TT rep tank is the same as late 30s tank ?
I don’t know the answer to that but maybe someone else can help out.
Afraid vintage flyer/TT rep frames are longer than post vintage types and the tanks cannot be swapped. Alan Noakes.
