Hi. Can anyone advise a source of a classic type rear tyre in 3.25-20″ size as I need one for my 1928 TT Rep rebuild ? As this was the size used on Norton Internationals, Rudge Ulsters, etc., etc., I would have thought that they would still be made, but I can’t find anyone listing them. Yes I know that early Reps had 3.00-20″ rear tyres, but mine is listed in the despatch book as having O/S tyres at 3.25-20″, and I would like to keep it original if I can.

I’ve had a look around Brian, but it seems no-one does them.
According to the Norton mob, the proportions of the Mitas 300 x 20 look very close, but that was not the question!

I ended up putting a 3.50 x 20 on my bike. Looks a little chunky but gives a softer ride with a rigid rear end – the bike not me!

I’ve found an unused old stock tyre that has been kept in the dark, so not perished or age-hardened. Onwards and upwards !
