can anyone tell me the colour of the pin stripe on the tank of a 47 Scott.
Is it an off white or cream, what would the approximate width of the stripe be. Any help would be appreciated.

All white paint was a bit ‘off’white’ in those days, before titanium dioxide pigment was introduced.

As the lining would be done by hand it would probably vary a bit. I have measured what I think is original lining on a spare tank in my workshop, and it is as near as dammit 1/8″ wide.

Thank you, I will tell them to make the stripe 1/8 to 3/16 in an off white.
