Dear all,

The small circular friction inserts in the clutch basket on my 1949 Shipley flyer are all loose and move back and forth in the holes,
this means the basket – and the primary chain will be able to float about when it is running which I’m assuming is not a good thing !
Is there a way of fixing this or is my only real option to have new friction material bonded to the drum.
This aside the basket and the teeth are in very good condition.

Any advice appreciated.
