Abbotsholme Event

An up date on the weekend. Numbers are now close to full for the accommodation with over 70 people signed up. A number of members are turning up to take part in the Saturday run only. If any of you would like to join us you are more than welcome, but please let me know for insurance purposes. There will be no charge for joining in the run. We shall leave School around 10am passing through Wotton to Leek with a stop at the Windy Ridge Cafe for a tea break around 11am.
From Leek we will ride to Buxton along the A53 and on to Chatsworth along the A6. Lunch is at Chatsworth were we will have a coned off area for parking on flat tarmac. From Chatsworth we return to School through Monyash onto the A515 and down to Ashbourne. A stop is planned at the Bently Brook on the way back.

Hi Eddie,

In the events flyer you mentioned visiting the Bakewell motorcycle museum on Saturday afternoon. In this posting you do not mention this. Does that mean this is cancelled?

One domestic question: do we need to bring our own sleepingbag? Handy to know in advance as the luggage you can take on a veteran bike is limited…

Hi Erik and All,
I have been keeping the visit to the museum on hold as a wet weather alternative if we have to shorten the days route. The route I have planned is a little longer than the original, therefore time was cut short.

You do not need to bring a sleeping bag, just personal toiletries and a towel. To save you carrying one I can provide if you let me know.
