The Centennial Meeting at Abbotsholme was fantastic.
The place is superb for such an event especially that this place is where the Scott history has started.
The event was super with very good accomodation.
The atmosphere was very relaxed everybody exchanging their experiences with their Scotts.
After seeing more than 40 Scotts I know now that no Scott is identical to another Scott.
I think I will never see so many Scotts ridden anymore.
The drawing from the forthcoming four cilinder are very promising and I hope to see and hear it somtime running.
The “knowledge tank” on saturday evening is something to develop further to spread the knowledge about Scotts.
A very very big thank you to Eddie Shermer and his wife and the staff from Abbotsholme for their hospitality and organising this event.
A very short impression after more than 650 km on my Scott arriving safely home.
Frank
Well Frank, you just beat me to it…
It truly was a great weekend! Despite the weather we had a wonderful time! Great location, very nice people and nice machines! I sincerely hope this run will get a follow up in the future as it caters for all aspects: riding, socializing and good food!
A very BIG thanks to Eddie and his wife for the wonderful weekend!
Cheers,
Erik
PS: one hint for next time: some coke or other softdrinks would be appreciated…
PS2: keep an eye on my blog, I will post a review and pictures asap! Below a few pictures to give a first impression…
In only managed to make one video during the weekend. Enjoy all Scotts leaving the Windy Ridge Cafe on the Saturday ride out!
Dear all,
Frank and Erik has said it so well already – a fantastic and unforgettable weekend!
Many thanks to everyone involved, especially to Eddie and his wife, and to the friendly staff at Abbotsholme who made this event possible.
Kind regards,
Carl
I also would like to say how much i enjoyed this weekend.
To have the opportunity to see and hear so many Machines together being used was a fabulous experience.
Even the Saturday rain could not truly dampen the spirits and the opportunity to sit and talk and laugh with good people was something that i really appreciated.
Many thanks to Eddie and family, and all those involved in making a unique event come alive.
I have just started a ‘flikr’ account for online photos, and you can find these here
Many thanks to Mike Fennel for getting many of these whilst i was getting video footage.
There is a slideshow option which is quite good.
I hope you enjoy.
Very nice Richard. I can almost smell the smoke! Nice to see so much action pictures too!
I just recovered from being ill a few days. I guess I was just the tension of working 4-5 months against the clock to get my bike finished unwinding..
@all: I have taken about 200-250 pictures and hope to put those online this weekend. Keep watching this topic or my blog!
What a fantastic weekend it was…………good company, good crack from the Irish lads, good beer and great food.
I was totally amazed to hear how far members had come, Spain, Italy, Denmark and The Netherlands. Some on there trusty old steeds.
Abbottsholme was a super venue and the seminars were very informative.
My thanks for all the hard work to Mr and Mrs Eddie Sherman.
It would be a great place to hold our annual rally……..maybe making a weekend of it.
Regards Stephen
Well, all my pictures are finally online too! Report to follow shortly.
Just visit my blog to see them!
EDIT: full report online now too!!
Cheers,
Erik
Hello all!
I am home at last! I enjoyed the weekend so much that I stayed in the area visiting museums and spare stores for a bit longer!!!
As everyone is saying the Abbotsholme event was big, amazing and wonderfully organised. Thanks to all those who helped to make this weekend possible and specially to their hosts, the Shermer’s couple.
Kind regards,
Juan Felix Cid
PS. I have to say I was amazed to have the chance to meet and exchange stories with so many Scott fellows… despite my lack of English knowledge! hehehe (it is my daughter the one writing here for me…)
