Hi all, Just in case you didn’t know, there is no on-site parking at The Coventry Transport Museum !!! If you are going to the AGM you will have to use a ‘Pay and Display’ public car park and then walk to the museum. Such car parks may be very busy on Saturday morning. Google Coventry Transport Museum for more information. This will be the first AGM I have missed since 1981… 🙁
Just in case anyone else is fretting over parking for the AGM, there are two car parks within 100 m of the entrance.
Bishop Street is directly behind the museum and this is the car park to which you will be directed if you follow the signposts for the museum from the inner ring road. Parking is £3 for up to 4 hours. Opposite this car park on Cook Street is another privately operated pay-and-display which will bring you to approximately 50 m from the entrance.
West Orchard is within 200m of the entrance and is a large multi-story car park serving the shopping precinct and Debenhams. Parking charges are the same as at Bishop Street.
If these car parks are unsuitable, Belgrade Plaza is accessible directly from the inner ring road, is a modern multi story, pay-at- the-mechine type with lifts but has the drawback of being 400m from the museum.
If anyone has difficulties please let me know and I will see if I can help any further.
Well, what a good venue,
the parking was a doddle,
museum was really entertaining,
it’s only a pity we did not know that the local vehicle enthusiasts were going to turn out with their cars and bikes , and not a Scott in sight !
we could have got some good publicity for the club,
another year perhaps .
