On my bike, the aluminium spacer (candelstick?) on the upper rear engine/frame fixing, has a threaded hole mid point. There is a banjo bolt screwed into it (of course, the banjo bolt may not be original) at 90 degrees to the spacer. The bike was mostly dismantled when I bought it and nothing was connected to the banjo bolt. What is this for?

Hi, It is there to locate the clutch cable and keep it away from the flywheel and the chains.

Mine was cast in as a loop on the candlestick
