Arentinian TT Scott

I remember seeing something recently about a Scott TT bike found or exported from Argentina recently. Or perhaps only mentioned recently. Sorry but I have no time to look up anything for at least a month.
I met an old acquaintance at the All British Rally, Victoria Australia, a couple of weeks ago. who has gearbox internals he was told are from that bike. I do not remember if it was just gears or more.
I think he told me they were amongst some other stuff he bought. Probably Triumph rubbish.
Does anyone know if these may be “interesting”, or even “special”.
Or should I just buy them of John as spares for my 49 Squirrel.

I have a Sprint Special said to have been in Argentina since the 30’s, imported to the EU recently and sold at Bonham’s a year ago, I am busy recommissioning it. The gearbox number has a suffix “C” which I am told may indicate c/r gears but I think mine are medium close, bottom seems pretty normal to me. The bike has an Italian Marelli mag fitted and the story seems to be credible. Hope this helps.

Several years ago an ex-works 1929 TT Scott was sold out of the Brooklands Museum to a collector in Argentina. This was the ex-David Lawrence machine.
So this may be the source of the gearbox components, a terrible shame if the rest of the machine has also been scattered to the four winds….
I can confirm that the 1929 TT Scott sold by Bonhams at the Stafford Show last week, has been bought by a UK owner, living in Rutland.
