back copies of Yowl

Glyn Chambers has inherited several hundred copies of Yowl going back to the early 60’s. In addition six binders with copies from Vol 4 no 8 to Vol 25 no 5, forty three years worth! They will be available at the Shuttleworth Event to anyone who wants to make a modest donation to Club funds.

Glyn will also have a stall on Sunday selling a collection of spares amassed over many years.

Can we please put “first dibs” on those Yowls unless they are already spoken for? One of the things we are struggling a bit as Yowl editors is working out what has been published previously. A large batch of magazines would certainly be a help!

on that subject, may I add that some of those articles from the ’60s may be interesting to some of the ‘younger’ members who were still riding tricycles at the time 🙂

I gave Glyn another similar collection last night, and he is going to organize them into complete sets as far as possible. Martin Dasek from the Czech Republic would also like a set, if he can arrange transport.

That thought had also occurred to us! Obviously, there is not much point in publishing older articles that are included in Technicalities but I bet there are many articles that would stand to be repeated as an occasional feature.
