What a fantastic day!
The bike is far from set up, which i think will take some time as i make my mind up about exhausts and jetting and gearing, but as a first ‘out the box’ outing .. it was superb, and revving to 5,250rpm, was vibration free, and far from outperformed by the majority of Triumph Tridents and other big four strokes it encountered.
I will write up a bit about the Day and also put some video on the website soon.. but this morning i am at the ACU offices in Rugby to sort out my licence to do the last vintage cadwell meeting (sat/sun 30th september/1st October) . Paul Dobbs will be there also, riding my dads bike with the number 1 plate which he will lose at the end of this year.
I will be certainly nowhere near as fast as Paul for both mechanical and biological reasons, but having two scotts competing in the same race will be something that might not be repeated so often, and hasnt been seen i think for maybe ten years.
If the weather holds up like it was on Saturday it will be superb!
