I recently advertised on a motorcycle web page for some saddle springs for my FS. I received 2 Emails in reply, both purporting to have the parts I needed. However,on checking the telephone numbers that I was supposed to call I found they were both 070 numbers !!!! 50p per minute !!!!
Forewarned is forearmed.
A bit like the people who, at shows, try to get a £3 tap for 50p on my fathers stand!
If anyone gets an email in that contains links to a site you have never heard of BEWARE it could be a scam or could download a virus or worse to your machine! Whatever you do DO NOT respond or click on emails claiming ‘you need to update your details, click here’ usually claiming to be from big name banks. I have recieved a few of these, the problem was I DON’T HAVE A BANK ACCOUNT so there was no doubt they were fake! Beware also the same claiming to be from Ebay and Paypal!
