May I refer you to Mrs T who claims sole rights in the European Union to finding me extra work. Indeed, at the time of writing, she is at evening classes learning Morse Code, to enable her to tap out final instructions on my headstone. You have taken on a formidable opponent, who used to work for THE Mrs T. Not many people know that. Watch out for the handbag, Roger, even in your distant eyrie you are not immune !
Colin Hough has thankfully come to my rescue. Even if I had the time to trawl the ebay, Exchange and Mart, OBM, Playboy etc etc, and the inclination to cold call the “potentials”, I do not agree that they would necessarily make good long term members. To offer them free membership would hardly be fair on the fifty or so legitimate new members who seek us out and have the initative and the interest
to join us every year.
We do not need to scrape the barrel for new members. The right crowd, and no crowding !
